OBSIDIANS

Voice of the voiceless.

SYNOPSIS

In a world where perception becomes verdict, Obsidians follows Malik, a 17-year-old Black boy whose life is violently redefined in a single moment of accusation.

Framed not by evidence, but by the weight of systemic bias, Malik is thrust into a justice system that sees him not as a child but as a threat. As the lines between truth and assumption blur, every silence becomes suspicion, every movement becomes motive.

Through haunting imagery and an unrelenting psychological lens, Obsidians explores the quiet brutality of being judged before being heard. The film peels back the layers of identity, fear, and institutional power revealing a world where innocence is invisible, and survival is a silent rebellion.

In the end, the question remains:

When the system writes your story… how do you take your name back?

DIRECTOR'S NOTE

"Cinema is not just a reflection of reality, it is a confrontation with it. A space where truth is exposed, and silence is no longer an option.”

With Obsidians, I wanted to explore the fragile line between perception and truth where the mind becomes both a refuge and a prison.

This film is rooted in the unsettling reality of a system that does not always seek justice, but control where narratives are shaped long before the truth is ever heard.

At its core, Obsidians is not just a story about one individual, but a reflection of a larger tension, the quiet war between identity and accusation, between what is seen and what is believed.

Every frame was crafted to feel intimate, claustrophobic, and emotionally charged pulling the audience into a space where certainty dissolves and discomfort becomes unavoidable.

Through this film, I aim to challenge the audience not just to watch, but to question — the system, the narrative, and ultimately, their own perception of truth.
